Levelling the playing field

Higher education should be further opened up to alternative providers, says think tank.

Traditional universities and private providers should be subject to the same regulation, according to the CentreForum, an independent liberal think tank.

Its "Access and Equity" report, published today, CentreForum argues that alternative providers bring “diversity and innovation” which could widen access to higher education, increase student choice and provide employment-focused training that responds rapidly to changes in industry.
