Grady picked to lead UCU

Jo Grady has been chosen as the next leader of the University and College Union.

Grady, a senior lecturer in employment relations at the University of Sheffield, will become the UCU’s next general secretary after winning 15,214 votes in the second round of voting. Grady’s win represented 64 per cent of the vote in a record turnout of 20.5 per cent of members.

The leadership race took place after former general secretary Sally Hunt resigned in February.
