New vice-chancellor for University of Greenwich

UWE deputy vice-chancellor joins south London institution

Jane Harrington has started her tenure as vice-chancellor of the University of Greenwich. She replaces David maguire, who retired at the end of November after eight years in post.

Harrington (pictured) joins Greenwich from the University of the West of England in Bristol, where she was deputy vice-chancellor and provost. She has worked in higher education for over 25 years, and her interests include widening access to higher education, teaching excellence and the student experience.
