Advance HE launches research scheme to explore best practice in improving diversity among governors

Researchers are to collect evidence of how universities and research institutes are working to make their governing bodies more diverse as part of a project part-funded by higher education membership body Advance HE.

An international research project set up between Advance HE and executive headhunting firm Perrett Laver will explore best practice among universities and research institutes to improve diversity among governors, as many bodies “simply do not reflect the diversity of thought and backgrounds that exist in our societies, the students we teach or the staff we hire”.
