More student engagement but no extra cash for careers services

    

Careers heads say policy focus on employability is behind the rise

More than three-quarters of careers service leaders say they have seen a spike in student engagement in the past three years, but less than half say they have received more funding to cope.

According to a survey by the Higher Education Policy Institute and the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services, 76 per cent of careers service heads believe an increased focus on graduate outcomes in government policy has led to a rise in the number of students seeking help from careers services in the past three years.
