Research Professional News analysis shows pay gap is gradually closing

Russell Group universities are making slow progress in closing their gender pay gaps, and they have come under fire for the pace of change.

According to an analysis by Research Professional News, in the three years that gender pay gap reporting has been mandatory for universities in England and Wales, the median pay gap among Russell Group members has decreased by 1.7 percentage points and the mean by 1.5 percentage points.
