Universities urged to combat ‘bleak picture’ for businesses

NCUB tells universities and businesses to keep working together despite Covid-19 fears

Businesses have been asked to “hold their nerve” and continue working with universities after a survey revealed 42 per cent of firms have less than six months’ worth of cash reserves.

The National Centre for Universities and Business (NCUB) has pleaded with both groups to keep working together despite data from the Office for National Statistics showing that more than four in 10 respondents to its Business Impact of the Coronavirus Survey had just six months of cash in reserve.
