Education charity picks former universities minister for governance and advisory role
Two-time former universities and science minister Chris Skidmore has joined the UPP Foundation as a trustee and chair of its advisory board.
The charity supplies grants to universities and higher education bodies to help boost student access and retention and improve graduate outcomes. It recently awarded £100,000 to five pilot projects tackling university access and graduate employability issues, and it also hosts the Civic University Commission, which explores universities’ relationships with their local areas.
