NUS attacks think tank report on student unions

    

But education committee chair praises suggestion that student unions should be broken up

A think tank has said student unions should be split into separate bodies dealing with sports, entertainment and other activities, a suggestion welcomed by the chair of the Commons education select committee.

The National Union of Students immediately labelled the report “poorly researched” and said it was “concerning” to see support from a politician.
