Birmingham VC David Eastwood warns wider reform is needed, including the end of A-levels
Shifting university admissions to be based on actual rather than predicted grades is likely to be impossible in the current window between A-level results day and the start of term, according to University of Birmingham vice-chancellor David Eastwood.
Eastwood told a 22 March webinar that it is “simply unviable” to create a post-qualification admissions (PQA) system if current A-level exams and university term dates do not move to create more time.
