Recent graduates ‘hardest hit’ by pandemic

ONS data show 12 per cent of recent graduates out of work last year

More than one in 10 recent university graduates in the UK were unemployed between July and September last year, official government statistics show.

According to Office for National Statistics data published on 8 March, 12 per cent of people who graduated in the last five years were out of work in the third quarter of 2020, compared with just 8.3 per cent in the same period of 2019.
