But government says it is “reviewing options” for post-Easter return
Vice-chancellors have urged the government to let students return to campuses from 12 April, as fears grow that the date could be pushed back to the middle of May.
In a statement on 26 March, Universities UK said institutions had been preparing their campuses to be Covid-secure, and it called on ministers “not to ignore the needs of over a million university students” when deciding how to ease lockdown.
