‘Fundamental adjustments’ needed before admissions reform

University leaders back post-qualification offers but stress that “key issues” must be addressed first

Vice-chancellors have warned that a switch to a post-qualification admissions system should only take place if “a number of key issues” are addressed first.

As the government’s consultation on post-qualification admissions closed on 13 May, Universities UK (UUK) said that changes to the admissions system “must not leave students marooned without proper careers support”.
