Research-intensive group lists research partnerships and student mobility as vital for trade agreements
The Russell Group has said it will judge the success of the UK’s free-trade agreements on whether they support student mobility and research, arguing that the deals should be “making the most” of the country’s higher education sector.
Writing in a blog published 6 May, Russell Group external relations manager James Hallwood argued that post-pandemic trade deals “that support cooperation in research and higher education could be a further shot in the arm for British aspirations to be a global science superpower”.
