USS chief writes to universities over pensions, as union claims scheme is making “veiled threats”

Proposals put forward by Universities UK could be an effective way to make the Universities Superannuation Scheme more sustainable, according to the head of the beleaguered pension scheme.

It would also introduce a 20-year rolling moratorium on employers exiting the scheme without the consent of the USS.
