Cross-border effort needed to combat essay mills

QAA conference hears that academic integrity “is a huge, global problem”

The Quality Assurance Agency has called for “strong, sector-wide, cross-border collaboration” to tackle essay mills and protect academic integrity.

Douglas Blackstock, outgoing chief executive of the QAA, told the agency’s annual conference on 13 May that institutions “need to address external challenges to academic standards and to the global higher education sector”.
