Clare Marchant calls for change after survey finds students do not see apprenticeships as prestigious

The head of Ucas has called for a change in attitudes around apprenticeships, after a Ucas survey found that students considering applying to a UK higher education institution next year are finding it difficult to access relevant information about the employer-based schemes.

According to Ucas, one in three school students—and half of those in colleges—reported that they had not been told about apprenticeships.
