Shared Prosperity Fund ‘should start no later than spring 2021’

     

MillionPlus warns that regions must get more than just ‘scraps’

The MillionPlus group of modern universities has called on the government to make sure the planned UK Shared Prosperity Fund is open by 2021.

In a briefing published on 24 February on how the Shared Prosperity Fund could protect the UK economy in the wake of Brexit, MillionPlus said there had been “surprisingly little detail” about how the fund would work, what it would cover and how much money would be available.
