Nursing students will receive up to £8,000 in non-repayable grants
The government has announced it will bring back support for nursing students, with grants of up to £8,000 per year available from next September.
Prime minister Boris Johnson confirmed the government would keep a Conservative Party manifesto pledge to introduce the non-repayable grants from September 2020, in an official announcement on 18 December.
