Labour picks next shadow higher education minister

Emma Hardy takes over from Gordon Marsden as shadow minister for further and higher education

The Labour Party has appointed Hull West and Hessle MP Emma Hardy to replace Gordon Marsden as shadow further and higher education minister.

On 7 January, Hardy wrote on Twitter that she was “delighted” to be appointed. She takes over from Marsden, who lost his Blackpool South seat in the general election on 12 December.
