Gavin Williamson to consider post-qualification admissions

Government review follows Universities UK's call for an overhaul of the admissions system

Education secretary Gavin Williamson has said he will consider the benefits of students applying to university once their exam results are known as part of a review into the admissions system.

On 13 November the Department for Education said a proposed new admissions system could see students in England receive university offers after they have sat their exams and received their final grades, rather than using predicted grades to apply to higher education.
