Conservative MP says contract cheating firms are preying on students during Covid-19

Former universities and science minister Chris Skidmore has urged MPs to support a ban on essay mills, warning that they could “damage academic integrity beyond repair”.

Skidmore set out the case for legislation prohibiting essay mills in the House of Commons on 10 February, arguing that contract cheating “should have no place in modern society” and that it is “a rot that has the potential to damage academic integrity beyond repair”.
