Students told to stay away from campuses until early March

Government pushes students’ return date back to 8 March

The Department for Education has updated official guidance to confirm that the majority of students should not return to campus before 8 March.

As it stands, students who need face-to-face tuition for professional qualifications—such as students on medicine courses—can return to university, but those on other courses are learning online. In an update to official guidance published on 3 February, the department confirmed that other students should now continue learning remotely until at least 8 March.
