Secretary of state spells out next steps for policies announced in the Skills for Jobs white paper
Education secretary Gavin Williamson has promised to “continue our great rebalancing between higher and further education” and promised more details on policies announced in the Skills for Jobs white paper.
Speaking during the Association of Colleges’ annual conference on 9 February, Williamson promised that the government’s proposed reforms to further education would “make going to college, or taking an apprenticeship, as compelling an option as studying for a degree at university”.
