Virtual training for student nurses gets £15m boost

      

Government funding can be used to buy equipment such as smartphones and manikins

Universities are to be given funding to buy virtual reality technology, smartphones and tablets to help student nurses complete their practice hours as part of a £25 million boost for flexible training during the Covid-19 pandemic.

English institutions will share up to £15m to facilitate virtual training for their healthcare students. The money can be used to buy relevant technology or other resources such as manikins.
