Pressure grows for clarity on students’ return to campuses

     

Call for return date as report suggests students will not be allowed back until mid-May

On the day that some semblance of normal education had been slated to return to campuses, the government has come under pressure to give an official date for the return of face-to-face teaching.

Senior figures from universities have voiced dismay that students are still barred from lecture theatres, even though they are now allowed into non-essential shops and zoos under the revised Covid-19 rules.
