Williamson: Student outcomes ‘not good enough’

Williamson warns some institutions over graduate outcomes and queries university autonomy

Education secretary Gavin Williamson has continued the government’s attack on so-called “low-value” courses, highlighting individual institutions and disciplines he feels are not up to scratch.

Williamson used his address at the Higher Education Policy Institute’s annual conference on 24 June to berate universities for their student outcomes, citing an analysis published by the Office for Students in May.
