MPs told that government could force PQA system with or without sector support
Education secretary Gavin Williamson has warned that the government will legislate to bring in a post-qualification admissions system if there is no “cooperation” from the UK higher education sector.
Williamson told MPs in the House of Commons on 21 June that the government wants to “bring post-qualification admissions forward as rapidly as possible”, and promised that ministers would “make it happen” with or without support from schools and universities.
