Peers raise pressure on universities over antisemitism

House of Lords says institutions are failing to adopt the accepted definition

Peers have told universities to put their houses in order over antisemitism, as the government admitted that the vast majority of institutions have not followed its advice on the hotly debated issue.

Speaking in the House of Lords yesterday, Baroness Berridge revealed that although the government has written three times to all universities urging them to adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance definition of antisemitism, only five universities have confirmed that they have done so.
