Admissions overhaul and careers advice should be prioritised, shadow education secretary tells Labour conference

It is time for a “complete rethink” of the university admissions system following the A-levels fiasco this summer, shadow education secretary Kate Green has said.

Speaking at the Labour Party conference on 21 September, Green said the government had “piled on the exam chaos” and “left things very uncertain for the year ahead”.
