The UK borders will remain open to EU nationals for at least two years after Brexit, reports The Times. It says that David Davis, the Brexit secretary, has agreed a transition deal with the EU, using plans devised by Philip Hammond, the chancellor of the exchequer. The Guardian has a more generous offer: it says that the British cabinet has accepted that the free movement of people will continue for up to four years after Brexit.
