A Knowledge Exchange Concordat and KEF metrics await the minister’s approval.
This morning, Trevor McMillan, the chairman of the Knowledge Exchange Framework’s steering group and vice-chancellor of Keele University, writes for HE to bring us up to date with the latest KEF developments. He outlines plans for a Knowledge Exchange Concordat that “will be ready for wide consultation in the next few weeks”.
Playbook has spoken to McMillan and also to Hamish McAlpine, head of knowledge exchange data and evidence at Research England, who has been developing the metrics that form a second pillar of the KEF. Plans for both the concordat and the metrics are top of the in-tray for the universities and science minister Sam Gyimah.
