Runaround now

This morning, Research England publishes Knowledge Exchange Framework clusters to inform a future consultation on the exercise.

Readers of a certain vintage will remember Runaround, an ITV quiz show for children hosted by Mike Reid. That’s Mike Reid who went on to play Frank Butcher in EastEnders rather than Mike Read who at the time was a successful Radio 1 DJ but ended up recording the song UKIP Calypso.

On Runaround, the quizmaster would ask a general knowledge question and give three possible answers. A group of kids would then respond by standing in clusters underneath screens with the potential answers. Before the music stopped, Reid would shout “Run around now” and participants would hop between the screens, changing clusters.
