More must be done to ensure the mental health and wellbeing of doctoral students.
Research England has made a significant contribution to Mental Health Awareness Week by releasing a report from Vitae on mental health and postgraduate research students (PGRs). On the HE website this morning, Chris Parr provides us with a digest of what is a pretty hard-hitting report.
Co-authored by Janet Metcalfe of Vitae, Sally Wilson of the Institute for Employment Studies and Katia Levecque of Ghent University, the report is an outcome from the Higher Education Funding Council for England’s Catalyst Fund. Research England and the Office for Students are working together to continue to deliver the programme of work previously supported by the fund.
