A good day to bury bad news?

It’s finally time for the Commons vote on the negotiated terms of exit from the European Union.

There is only one news story in town today: the “meaningful vote” in parliament, which will see prime minister Theresa May’s Brexit plans either approved or, as is widely predicted, thrown out by MPs.

Playbook will, however, be keeping a close eye on any communications coming out of the Department for Education or the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial strategy. If ever there were a good day to bury bad news, it’s today.
