Plans for further and higher education take centre stage in the election
Today, the Labour Party unveils its policy on lifelong learning, while yesterday the Liberal Democrats gave us skills wallets. Meanwhile the Brexit Party has announced a seemingly unrequited electoral pact with the Conservatives, which may, in fact, make little difference.
First, the Labour Party, who are off to the seaside this morning to roll out their vision for a National Education Service (NES). Shadow education secretary Angela Rayner and party leader Jeremy Corbyn will be at Bloomfield Road, home of Blackpool FC, for a set-piece announcement on education and training.
