It began last night with an unexpected flight to Strasbourg by Theresa May. It concluded with the announcement of “legally binding” changes to the UK’s terms of departure from the European Union. But has anything really changed?

The short answer is no. The bigger question is whether MPs can convince themselves that it has. The longer-term question is what it all means for a future UK-EU relationship.
