Will the birth of the Brexit Party and the collapse of centrist Conservatism shake up higher education policy?

It is barely four months old. It has no manifesto to speak of–except a few candidate videos on its website. And yet few doubt that the turquoise rosettes of Nigel Farage’s Brexit Party will sweep the 23 May elections to the European parliament.

Farage is making no secret of his wider ambitions for British politics. The Brexit Party, which seems to have very deep pockets, has plans beyond 23 May: it will be fielding candidates for the next general election too.
