Last of the summer whine

A new term starts for Playbook. Did we miss anything?

The time has come. Playbook can no longer maintain its zen-like repose on the mountain of contemplation and must return to the hurly-burly of higher education. Just as well nothing much has happened in our absence.

Our colleagues on the Ivory Tower desk are bereft as they will not have the chance to reprise even a single episode of the “My Week by Jo Johnson” column. After all the twists and turns of the summer political drama, the resignation of the science and universities minister on 5 September put the feather on the biscuit tin, as they say in Istanbul.
