The OfS is consulting on university admissions, while Hepi wants to heal the nation
Higher education seems to have had more reviews than the National Theatre recently. Just when you thought the Augar report may have been consigned to the filing cabinet of history, the Office for Students launches a major review of higher education admissions.
This one has teeth since it comes from the regulator and is taking wide soundings on everything from unconditional offers to the postgraduate experience. It would be a big mistake to think that this review can be brushed off so that universities can carry on as they are—or at least, universities will have to present very good arguments if they want to maintain the status quo.
