A Playbook freedom of information request gives a flavour of university compensation payouts
Every so often, a story about a university having to pay compensation to a student for some reason or other hits the headlines.
From recent case studies published by the Office of the Independent Adjudicator, we know that last year a number of universities were ordered to pay students because of disruption caused by the 2018 industrial action over pensions. In one case, a student received more than £1,200.
