Speaking to the country at 8.30pm last night, Boris Johnson was finally forced to bow to the inevitable and declare a legally enforceable lockdown of the UK. The rate of infection of Covid-19 and the stress that it is putting on the NHS has led the four governments of the UK to order people to stay at home.
