Hepi days are here again

It’s time for the results of the annual Student Academic Experience Survey

The career of Gavin Williamson may be one of the biggest casualties of the coronavirus crisis. The education secretary has been subject to quite the backlash as parents around the country express their frustration about the government abandoning its pledge to reopen schools before the summer. Universities can be grateful that they took the decision early not to offer false hope to students—and should be wary of making rash promises now.

Speaking of great expectations, this morning sees the publication of the Student Academic Experience Survey by the Higher Education Policy Institute in association with Advance HE. The results straddle the period of lockdown, with the survey of more than 10,000 student respondents having run between 17 February and 4 April.
