Staff have started reporting concerns about their universities’ pandemic plans

Last night, Boris Johnson told the nation that it must “summon the discipline, resolve and spirit of togetherness that will carry us through” the latest stage in the coronavirus pandemic.

There had been, he said, “too many breaches, too many opportunities for our invisible enemy” to return—and although he was “deeply, spiritually reluctant” to extend lockdown measures, doing so now would prevent more deaths in the long run.
