Reports are published on participation, access and student loan payments
If a higher education white paper (or even a final government response to Augar) really is in the offing, three reports out yesterday will have rammed home its urgency—or impossibility.
The Department for Education yesterday published Higher Education Initial Participation (HEIP) measures for the academic year 2019-20, while the Office for Students reported on access and participation outcomes and expenditure for the same year, and the Student Loans Company published figures for the tuition fee and maintenance loans it paid out in 2020-21.
