After a three-day UCU walkout, it is time for action short of a strike
As you pick up the pieces of your garden shed roof after the visit of storm Barra, it is also time to pick up the pieces from the fallout after the latest round of University and College Union industrial action. Suffice to say, not everyone is happy.
UCU general secretary Jo Grady courted controversy in a letter to members on Monday that raised eyebrows among some who received it. In the letter, seen by Playbook, Grady says that for branches that were on strike last week, a period of action short of a strike has now begun.
