Demand for a university education is proving to be remarkably resilient.
Higher education may be the target of an increasingly spiteful culture war campaign over free speech; traditional teaching may have been decimated by the fallout from the global pandemic; and vice-chancellors may have made national headlines (not least in recent days) for all the wrong reasons. Nonetheless, student numbers appear to be holding up.
