The university regulator is set to issue guidance on dealing with sexual violence
Later today, the Office for Students will set out guidance on how universities should deal with allegations and incidents of sexual assault on campus. The guidelines will receive the vocal backing of education secretary Gavin Williamson, who is reported in the tabloid press to have ordered a “crackdown” on campus “rape culture”.
The OfS release comes the week after Everyone’s Invited, a website that originally gathered testimonies from sexual harassment and abuse victims in schools, said it had received more than 1,000 testimonies from university students in just one week.
