Ministerial appointments continue and there are changes to the National Student Survey
Excitement that double spending on science ministers reflected the new prime minister’s enthusiasm for science was dampened last night, when George Freeman insisted that he was the only UK science minister to have been appointed in Rishi Sunak’s government.
This is despite Nusrat Ghani, appointed by Liz Truss earlier this month, tweeting on Wednesday that she had been reappointed. Including DNA, satellite, vaccine and ship emojis, she stated: “Continuity is important and I am pleased to be reappointed as science and investment security minister.”
