UCU are to announce three strike days this month. What next for universities?
Later this week, the University and College Union will name the dates for three days of industrial action in November. It follows a meeting of the union’s Higher Education Committee on Thursday.
The HEC are acting on the mandate of the aggregated ballot across 150 higher education institutions for strike action over pay and conditions, and 68 universities over the terms of the Universities Superannuation Scheme. It is the first time the union has had a national mandate for strikes in every university.
